A direct bequest to the United Way of Southern Chester County is the simplest way to give back and perpetually take care of the community that you love.

For those considering such a bequest, here is sample language for your will:

"I give _____% or $_____ or the remainder of my estate or trust to the United Way of Southern Chester County, to be held as part of the United Way of Southern Chester County Endowment Fund at the Chester County Community Foundation."

A bequest is how our Endowment Fund was started...

Our Endowment Fund was started by a surprise bequest to UWSCC back in 2003. A civic-minded gentleman, Moncrief Spears, left us a bequest in his will. The board of directors back then felt it was time to establish an endowment so United Way's work could benefit our southern Chester County community forever.
