The Kennett Area YMCA is pleased to share an upcoming free community program focused on suicide prevention, hosted in partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Suicide Prevention: Trusted Health Talks, Right Here at the Y

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among youth ages 10–24. This informative session is designed for families and community members and will provide education and practical tools to better support teens. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, understand common misconceptions about suicide, foster open and supportive conversations, and identify community resources available for help.
The program will be presented by Stacey Julye, PhD, LMFT, LCSW and Cherie Gerstadt, PhD, in partnership with CHOP.
