Walk for Wellness

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and New London Counseling Center is hosting a “Walk for Wellness" in partnership with Glenroy Preserve. We know that the body, mind and spirit are all intimately connected and when one of those areas thrives or suffers…it impacts the other aspects of our functioning too. To celebrate, our Walk for Wellness event will help engage with our community and remind them that walking (especially outdoors in nature) can improve all three areas of our functioning. 

Our "Walk for Wellness" encourages individuals and families to walk, hike or run their way to wellbeing. This family-friendly event offers something for everyone! There will be a family-friendly scavenger hunt/hike,  a 3-mile Walk/Trail Run (easy) and a 5-mile Trail Walk/Run (moderate), all through the beautiful woods and rolling hills of Glenroy Preserve in Nottingham.
